We formed Patterson Custom Builders LLC in June of 2007 and have mainly done business in the Raleigh Metro Area. Patterson Custom Builders LLC was developed by Tony Patterson and his father Charles Jr. The original company was started years ago by Tony's Great Grandfather Ivan Winslow Patterson, who started Patterson Builders, where he was a home builder before the time of General Contractors. Ivan constructed many of the homes in Harnett County and the Spring Lake area. His son, Charles Sr, decided to not follow in the footsteps of his father, and became a reputable superintendent of many of the local commercial construction company's here in the Triangle. Charles Jr, who was raised mainly by his grandfather Ivan, became some what of a master carpenter. He found his specialty which was interior construction. Tony Patterson- Tony grew up in construction all of his life. Since he was a young boy, he was out on job sites sweeping houses, wrapping windows, building small things. When Tony became a teenager he started working with his dad, Charles Jr, and his grandfather, Charles Sr, where he started learning how to frame houses, build decks, and do interior trim. In high school, he focused on business courses and construction technology. He also learned of cabinet building one on one from the construction technologies teacher Gary Hart, owner of Harts Custom Cabinetry. Tony went to work for a local General Contractor where he learned several different capacities of the construction industry and gained experience in all phases. At the age of 19, Tony received his license for General Contracting. From that point on Tony decided that it was his goal to start his company and provide the services that he had been working so hard to learn for so many years, and developed Patterson Custom Builders LLC. |
